As a small business owner, it’s important to look your best, especially when that business depends on your personal brand. My very good friend, Sherma, is a salon owner and certified cosmetologist and trichologist. So when she needed new images for her portfolio and marketing collateral, I was happy to help out.
I knew these images would be used on fliers and so I shot her against a white background. This would make it much easier for the graphic designer to super-impose her likeness onto a more appropriate background.
The process was short and sweet. She came with a few props and two outfits. In the end we only used one of each that we thought best suited the outcome she needed.
After a few test shots to determine the best lighting, we worked through various poses and expressions to make her shine! Here are a few images:
