Celebrating Kaj's 1-year old's birthday at Botanic Gardens

Kids grow up so fast that it’s a great idea to document the memories so they can be revisited in the years to come. My parents believed this and from a young age, I was exposed to photography.

Truth be told, it was hard to get me to stay still for long, but at least now, my mother gets immense joy from flipping through our baby albums!

Coming from that background, it meant a lot to me when Cee Jay told me that she had been documenting each month of her son’s first year with mini photoshoots. It meant even more that she wanted me to capture family portraits to mark his 1-year birthday.

We chose Botanic Gardens as the location and although we started a bit late, it was a cloudy day so we got some cover from the harsh sun.

I had a lot of fun photographing this family, it was a mix of posed shots and candid photos of Kaj running around. Here are a few; let me know what you think!
