As a small business owner in a skill-based industry, it's important to try my hand at different genres of photography. Not only will it allow me to satisfy different types of clients, but accepting various challenges also makes me a better photographer.
As such, I jumped on a recent opportunity to document the PVIP/VVIP experience at the 21st edition of the World Creole Music Festival in Dominica.
The three-day festival was held from the 25th to the 27th of October at the Windsor Park Stadium in Roseau, and featured several musical acts, such as afrobeat heart-throb Davido, Francophone icon Gordon Henderson and arguably the star attraction of the weekend, Buju Banton.
I must thank the team at NexConnex Productions who brought me on as one of their photographers. They put on a true VIP experience for hundreds patrons. It has been lauded by seasoned party-goers as a tremendous experience, and a welcome addition to WCMF.
This was my first time covering a music concert/event and it's definitely a departure from my regular work. But it was a great experience. Here are some of the shots from the weekend:
Hi Joy! I’m glad you enjoyed these photo. Hopefully you’ll attend WCMF in 2020 and you’ll have a blast like these folks!
Beautiful Pictures of people enjoying themselves at the World Creole Music Festival … I missed it this year, but hope to be there next year. I have enjoyed your photographs thanks for sharing.
